Thirteenth Battery Monument at Gettysburg

 

13th Battery Monument

LOCATION:
On south side of Howard Avenue,
west of Carlisle Road

The granite monument measures 6 ft 3 in square
at the base and stands 14 ft 8 in high. On the left
and right sides are bronze, half-section reliefs of
the three inch rifle most commonly used by the
battery. The monument was fabricated at a total
cost of $1500, and was dedicated during
ceremonies on July 4, 1893.
